#COVID19: 354 New Cases Recorded In Nigeria, Total Infections Now 45,244


The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) yesterday confirmed via its Twitter page that 354 new cases of the novel coronavirus were recorded in the country on Thursday, August 6.

A breakdown from the health agency revealed that the FCT had the highest number of fresh cases with 78,  and is followed by Lagos with 76.

Other states with confirmed cases of the deadly disease include Kaduna-23, Ebonyi–19; Oyo–18;  Nasarawa–17;  Rivers–17; Delta-6; Kwara–15; Akwa Ibom–13; Edo–12, Ogun-2, Plateau–11; Kano–9; Bauchi–6 ; Borno–6 and Ekiti -6.


Nigeria now has 45,244 confirmed cases of the viral disease. 32,430 patients have been discharged so far with 930 deaths recorded.
