'Internal democracy has been murdered in Edo state' - Ex-APC Chairman, Oyegun Speaks On Obaseki's Disqualification

The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, has reacted to the disqualification of Governor Godwin Obaseki the part screening committee on Friday, he alleged that is part of the plan to install a stooge that will allow some people unrestricted access to Edo state's treasury.

Oyegun expressed fear of Obaseki's disqualification coming with severe consequences, he also stated that the development shows that ''internal democracy has been murdered in the APC which is a party that was founded on the principles of fair play and good conscience.''

The APC Chairman maintained that Oshiomole is the one who is acting unconstitutionally not Obaseki, and also added that he hopes the former Edo state governor will not be remembered as one of those who destroyed the APC. 

“As a matter of fact, Oshiomole is indeed the one who is guilty of anti-party, not Obaseki." Oyegun said
