Five COVID-19 Patients Die In Russia Hospital Fire

Five coronavirus patients were killed after a fire broke out at a hospital in Vyborg district of St. Petersburg, Russia on in the early hour of Tuesday, May 12.

According to Russian news agencies reports, the fire broke out from a short-circuit in a ventilator, engulfed an area of 10 square meters and killed the patients, who were in an intensive care unit.
About 150 patients and staff were evacuated from the St. George City Hospital, but the number how many people injured in the disaster is yet to be ascertained, the country's Ministry of Emergency Services disclosed.

Preliminary inquiries show that an electric equipment malfunction and short-circuit failure are among the factors behind the fire, according to emergency services
