President Buhari's Chief Of Staff, Abba Kyari Passes On, After Tested Positive To COVID-19

Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to president Buhari has died. He passed away on Friday, April 17 more than two weeks after he tested positive to COVID-19.

Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the President, announcing Kyari's death on Twitter wrote;
''The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.
“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.”
''May God accept his soul. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.''

Bashir Ahmad, PA on New Media to President Buhari, and Femi Adesina, who is the Special Adviser to President on Media and Publicity, also confirmed the passing of the former Chief of Staff.

Ahmad tweeted, "Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, has died. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him the highest rank of Jannah. Allah ya jikan sa".

Adesina on his part, wrote, "Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, passes on. May God rest his soul. Amen. Funeral arrangements to be announced soon".
